Holy Redeemer Youth

Mission Statement

To provide a welcoming atmosphere for all the youth of our parish and community where they can learn more about their Faith and themselves. That they may in turn reach out to others with the message of God's LOVE.

Our parish youth gather every Friday night for an evening of fun activities, fellowship, and opportunities to grow deeper in their faith. The nights begin with the junior youth group, The Rock, followed by the senior youth group, JAM. The youth also participate in the non-profit, social justice organization, “Mats For Haiti”. The church also puts on a Family Mass on the first Sunday of each month, allowing children in grades 3 and up to participate in the mass. They have the opportunity to be a lector, greeter, usher, or commentator. Finally, a new initiative, called “Youth Sunday Night Social”, invites youth to socialize and grow closer as a parish community.

The church reaches out to our neighbouring schools which include St. Martin de Porres, St. James, Holy Redeemer, and Holy Trinity to promote the Word of God and allow the youth to grow in their faith.

Holy Redeemer Youth participate in many yearly events, including: Youth Showcase, Summer Bible Camp, Christmas Pageant and Parade, Stations of the Cross Tableau, and several retreats both local and throughout the Diocese.
